I want to check out some stores like clothe, toy, candy, or music stores in San Francisco and Sacramento but I want them to be big. Like a giant Apple store or Virgin music store or Trader Joe’s.
Also I want to see some cool sites. No hiking or Fisherman’s Warf please something fun
in san fran you should check out Alcatraz look it up on google it is pretty awesome the boat ride to the little island.
you HAVE to go to downtown San Francisco. Westfield shopping center is HUGE and it connects to another shopping center. Everything from old navy to Coture is located here.
Across the street is a HUGE Apple store, and three story Virgin Records.
I can’t even name all of the stores…downtown is HUGE. You can get lost all day and make several trips to your car to pack all of your purchases because your arms will get tired from carrying all of the packages.
Also, because there is so much competion, its a great place to find bargains that you wouldn’t normally find anywhere else.
When you’re in Sacramento, you have to go to Old Town Sac for your candy needs. There are so many candy shops there, so many different kinds, and tons of salt water taffy in every flavor imaginable. You’ll be in heaven.
The question rather is what stores and sites aren’t there to see. In San Francisco, you definitely want to make it out to Union Square/Downtown, where you will find any and every store known to mankind. From Anthropologie to Zara, you will find everything you need in one area. You will find a huge Virgin music store (which is going out of business so you’ll get a ton of good deals) and a massive Apple store.
Sites: You will definitely want to check out the following:
1) Sunday Brunch: Circa Restaurant in the Marina. http://www.circasf.com
2) In membrance of St Pattys Day, you definitely want to check out Buena Vista, which is one of the oldest Irish pubs in America.
3) If youre going to be in town this weekend, SF is having its 3rd annual International Chocolate Salon.
Check out http://www.sevenwide.com for more trendy and hip things to do in SF.
Old Town Sacramento. It’s the best place to go. I LOVE Trader Joes. You must go there. And look for the moose. You win a prize if you find him.
Downtown SF/Union sq clothing stores are great and not all are expensive. The Virgin Megastore on Market St. has a wonderful selection of music. You can also get fine candy in downtown SF. Want SF souvenirs? Grant Avenue in Chinatown has the best deals on souvenirs like toy cable cars, t-shirts, sweatshirts and anything with the words San Francisco on it. You can find the same stuff elsewhere in the city, but at higher prices.
